Owner Interview

Tripp Jones: Vice President

What sparked your interest in construction and led you to pursue it as a career?

Growing up, my dad was in the construction industry, and I always looked up to him. It made sense to follow in his footsteps.

Can you share a memorable experience from your early days in the construction industry?

One of my earliest and most memorable projects was a subdivision, where I eventually built my first house.

Have you ever had a funny or unexpected moment on a construction site that you can share?

Since graduating from Texas A&M University a year ago, I’ve had plenty of unexpected moments, continuously learning and improving my skills, making me sharper for the next project.

Do you have any role models or mentors in the construction industry? If so, how have they influenced your career?

My mentor is my dad. I greatly respect and admire how he conducts business daily. He selflessly guides me in the right direction, helping me become the best version of myself.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in construction?

Be the type of person your boss has to rein in. Be at the front, pulling the wagon, not the one sitting on it, making everyone else pull your weight.
